SHAHEED BHAGAT SINGH COLLEGE,one of the
premier institiutions of higher education under the university of delhi
, was founded in 1967 by the delhi administrations as a co-educational institution with the objectives of imparting quality education and grooming young boys and girls as responsible futuer citizens of the country.the college is named after one of india's great sons, SHAHEED BHAGAT SINGH,who laid down his precious life for the sake of the country in its pre-independence struggle.it has been imparting education in commerce, humanities and social sciences, Dr.N.A.SIDDIQUI, the Principal has been working for all round development of the institution. the college has developed computer as well as well-equipped geography labs. the U.G.C. high-powered inspection committee has recently recomended the development of computer lab & mordanisation of the library.we at SHAHEED BHAGAT SINGH COLLEGE are proud of the fact that the college achieved the prestigious post-graduate status in record of ten years which is a remarkable achievement for any institution.the teachers at the college are all learned women and men of high repute. they continue to keep themselves abreast with the latest developments in their respective areas in any part of the globe through access to these development by all available means including frequent visits to the centers of excellence abroad.they are continuously engaged in research and writing, producing some of the best reading materials for their students and others.they innovate and use new and advanced teaching methods and materials,prepare and organise diverse kind od curriculam and co-curriculam programmes and activities in the interest of better education and training as well as the interest of society in general. the college has been and continues to be the best centre of higher education, in commerce and other social sciences. students from AFRICAN COUNTRIES, CHINA, BANGLADESH, THAILAND, SRILANKA, NEPAL, AFGANISTAN, SINGAPORE, MALASIYA etc., have felt amply rewarded by their stay in this college.most of our students go for higher students to U.S.A., U.K. and other countries.
